My Go-To Pandora Stations for My Daily Activities!
Hi friends!
Music has ALWAYS been an enormous part of my life! You will rarely see me without headphones or some sort of music around me. Music has always been something to keep my mind calm and occupied because I’m naturally a high-strung person.
I thought I would take the time to discuss the stations that I play during my daily activities! Who knows? Maybe they can help you too! Scientists have found that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function!
For starters, when I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is turn on music! I make sure that the station I listen to when I first wake up will be nothing but positive vibes! I have 2 go-tos for morning music. First is my man, good old Frank Sinatra! Stress is the root of many health problems; the relaxing effect of jazz music can have incredible healing influence. It physically changes your body by lowering your heart and respiratory rate.
If jazz doesn’t really call your name, try the “Disney radio” station. I know this may seem silly or childish but that’s why there are all different genres! I am just sharing what works for me. This may not have the same relaxing effects as jazz but it has some great tunes and is nothing but positivity! These are also the stations I choose when I’m working on training programs for my clients or anything I really need to focus on! Give Jazz a try next time you need to write that essay or study!
Okay, next is pre-workout jams! Here is where shit gets crayyy-zayyyy! On my way to the gym, I literally turn into Biggie. I listen to old school hood music. Anything with a good beat to get me psyched for the gym! The station I usually choose is “rap strength training radio.” I also jam in my car and break it down at every red light. People in the cars next to me think I’m strange but I do it for the gainz sooooo.
During my workout, I listen to a few different stations! While doing my 10-minute bike warm up it is “EDC radio” all the way! The hard beats get me super pumped and give me a great fast paced beat to spin to. I also like that fact that there are minimal lyrics and mostly instrumentals so I can really get in the mental zone for my work out!
My actual lifting routine calls for more music with angry people yelling at me though lol! I have 3 stations I bounce back and forth between. The one I use the most is “Ignition radio.” Ya know, like R. Kelly remix to ignition. There are so many old school jams on this station, everything from R. Kelly to Nelly to biggie and so on. Next station I use is “Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard.” Seriously, if this doesn’t get you fired up, I don’t think there is any hope. This station incorporates a mix of hard rock and rap. This is mostly used on my leg days when I need to feel like a total hulk badass. Also, NF makes an appearance on this station so it’s a win-win. Finally, the last station that I will always use is “Eminem Radio.” I don’t think I need to explain that one.
Next is cardio, the most crucial station choice for sure. You need to go into cardio with a good “I am going to fuck shit up” mindset or your mind will win Every. Single. Time. During my 20 grueling minutes on the stair stepper a day, I need someone cheering me on. For me, “Eric Thomas Radio” is the only choice. He tells me that I am not average and if I want something bad enough I need to work for it. I mean, how much more perfect could it get.
Last but not least, post workout. I get off the stair stepper after literally kicking my own ass for 20 minutes and I need something that makes me happy and encourages the positive vibes I’m feeling. “Iration radio” is what I always pick. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Iration, first of all, I’m sorry you have been missing out your whole life. Secondly, its reggae. Not like, “hey maaan, peace, love and happiness *Bob Marley voice. It’s much more modern reggae but still mellow. I listen to this while I cool down from my cardio and it has me leaving the gym in a great mood!
So, there you go! My music and vibes that shape my day and help me get the very most out of my actions and feelings! Hope you all enjoyed this and I would LOVE to hear some of your favorite stations. As you can tell I love all forms of music so please feel free to share!!

(P.S. I pay for the premium version of Pandora because I can’t have paper towel commercials wrecking my vibe.)
