New Year Challenge Breakdown

How many times have you felt motivated to make a change in your fitness lifestyle and chase after your dream body only to say “I’ll do it tomorrow”? How many excuses have you come up with to convince yourself that you don’t need to work out? I know that starting is the most difficult part. It only takes 21 days to build a habit. So, LET’S DO THIS!

Well… 2018 is YOUR YEAR! With New Year’s Day starting on a Monday how could you ask for anything more perfect?

I know there a lot of fitness plans, quick fix diet fads, and weight-loss challenges out there that make everything kind of confusing. It’s hard to know what decision to make when it’s something you’ve never done before right?

I wanted to write this blog to explain in depth what my New Year’s Challenge is going to include so you know exactly what you’ll be diving into and see the guidance you will be receiving while working with me.

So you feel comfortable knowing that you’ll be in good hands with the design of the challenge I want to give you a little bit of the background behind the people designing it! I am a certified personal trainer and have a certification in sports nutrition. My fiancé has a MS in sport and exercise science and is a certified strength coach. Together, we designed a perfect program to give you the best results in as little as time possible. This goes for advanced lifters and newcomers alike! We’ve designed meal guidance to help you achieve whatever goal you’re looking for and created workout routines to utilize your precious time to get the most out of every minute.

  1. Let’s talk about the workouts. Workouts will be home or gym based depending on your preference. Workouts will be 5 days a week and will only take 30-45 minutes to complete (like I said, utilize your time!). They will all be accessed through the use of my training app so we can provide video guidance for each and every exercise along with tracking your progress. The workouts will include the number of sets and reps to complete along with all cardio instructions so you’ll never feel lost in knowing what to do. All you have to do is follow it! All workouts will include traditional weight lifting methods along with high-intensity training principles to yield you the best results in a 8 week period of time.

 

  1. Never used a training app before? Our NOW Fitness training app will allow you to open up the workouts right on your phone so you can carry it with you to the gym and keep track of the weight you used during each exercise so you know exactly what weight you used last time and you can see yourself get stronger and stronger! The app is also our way of communication. You can message us 24/7 with any questions or comments you might have and we will respond as soon as possible to help you out. The app also allows for photo progress uploads so you can watch your body transformation during the challenge to help keep you motivated and see that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.

 

  1. Now let’s talk about the meal guidance. If you’re like most people, nutrition is the hardest part of your fitness journey (I know it is for me!). To help solve this problem, we have created a step-by-step guide that will allow you to create your own meals using our healthy food choice list that we will provide so you can design healthy meals using foods you like. If there’s something you love that you don’t see on the food list, feel free to ask and we will help you work it in to you meals! We will lay out the proper quantity of food to have at each meal so there’s no guess work having to be done; you just choose your food! If you want to save time with your meal, we recommend prepping something at the beginning of the week, such as chicken or ground beef, and using that as your protein for the entire week. Don’t worry about giving up the foods you love because we always make room for the delicious things in life.

 

Challenger Winner:

Hard work should be rewarded and doesn’t go unnoticed by us! The winner of my 2018 New Years Challenge will receive $100 along with a meal prepping bag. Challenge winner is determined by the progress between before and after pictures so to be eligible those most be taken.
